Ruthmere

I'm putting this one in the "travel" category, because it felt like a vacation, even if it was just around the corner...

Grandma C. babysat this afternoon, so Angela and I could have a little time to ourselves. We went out for lunch and took a tour of the Ruthmere mansion in Elkhart.


We've toured other historic mansions around the country, but this one was enjoyable for its accessibility and high quality of preservation, art, history, etc. Since it was the middle of the week with kids back at school already, we had the tour guide to ourselves.
