At the hospital with Kate

Saturday evening after Kate was born, the nurses weighed, measured, poked, prodded, and gave Kate her first bath (vital stats: 7.0 pounds, 20.5 inches long, head 12.5 inches, chest 12.75 inches).

During our next couple of days at the hospital we had many friends and family visit. Following are just a few of these with Kate that we managed to capture:

Grandpa C. ("Pepaw")













Memaw and Pepaw are grandparent's nicknames that we had joked about with Angela's family, including Aunt CC below.













Of course dad and mom had to have their turn too!

If Chad and Christa look a little worried/freaked, it's only because they were pretty certain they were going to be in the same boat in a week or so... and sure enough, they were!
